My
responsibilities involve managing the work of Y1 students - how to motivate,
train and employ them, utilize their skills, abilities and knowledge in the
most efficient way. This involves organizing meetings, preparing materials for
their training.
Basically,
why we put so much time in Y1s is because they are a great help in promotion,
fundraising and during the finals in Riga. We give them opportunity to
experience the process of organizing an event of a large scale, in exchange for
their help and fresh ideas. I enjoy getting to know people and cooperating with them, I know how to get along with everyone and inspire them. I am responsible, honest and motivated towards success - one that I expect them to be. Email: anete@peaktime.org

I am the
analytical person in our diverse organizing team. I enjoy analyzing problems or
issues from both sides, making cost-benefit analysis is a pleasure. At the same
time, I like to keep the working atmosphere relaxed and pleasant, I try to be
well-organized and mostly in line with deadlines. As I am also a debater, then
I am the man for presenting things to big auditoriums and for persuading
people. I thrive towards being a well-rounded person and hopefully I will make
a significant contribution to Peak Time and to our team of excellence.

They call
me „the head“, but I feel more like live personal task planner of Peak Time - I
am team’s coordinator and media person. First of all, I have to make sure that
everyone knows their duties and responsibilities. Reminders, questions, meeting
arrangements - all the administrative and organizational parts of team work are
under my responsibility. As for the media part, it mostly involves contacting
local as well as international press, TV, news portals, writing press releases
thus taking care of Peak Time's representation for public.
Both fields
of my responsibilities aren’t new for me as well. I’ve organized several career
fairs, international youth projects and camps.
Now the
time has come for a far bigger, more interesting and serious event – Peak Time.
I am passionate about this competition, it's participants and partners and have
the motivation and will to make it happen in 2010 together with the rest of the
team!

I’m a person who enjoys being in motion. While moving around, I manage
to develop my skills in organizing various events. I became the chief organizer
of a charity project of Junior Chamber International (an organization for young
leaders and entrepreneurs). It was a great chance to improve my skills in a
team-work, as well organizational skills. I also worked a lot to attract
sponsors for the project thus I gained significant experience in this field.
During the project I also learned how to contact and approach mass media.
I already have experience in organizing international events. I was the
chief organizer and initiator for an international camp “Back for the Future”
for the Baltic students. It taught me that every detail is of importance.

My general
responsibility in PT2010 is to make it possible for everyone to hear, see, feel
and enjoy Peak Time. Right now it involves managing the movie about PT and
getting the PT project and budget ready. As the event approaches, my tasks will
be connected with the participants and them getting here, arranging
accommodation for them and making them feel welcomed. I have organized several
events before - I have learned from my mistakes and developed my strengths.
For me Peak
Time means people - all the participants who get the chance to experience it;
all the organizers, helpers, moral supporters who work to make PT happen; and
sponsors who will make it mega-possible. For me these people mean passion,
contacts, experience, fun and trust. I guess I am addicted to intelligent
people, multinational ideas, mind blowing conversations, creative challenges
and inspiring atmosphere. And I’m proud of it!

Peak Time
was a dream of mine ever since I’ve heard about it. That happened while I was
still in my high school. I guess it was the spirit of Peak Time which seemed so
attractive to me. Doing what you like – starting from serious business and
ending with foolish amusements, not to mention combining two of them is good
for your body and soul.
After years
of having it as a goal, I’ve managed to make it for the organizing team of Peak
Time 2010. One of my responsibilities in the team is to keep an eye on our
financial statements and accounting. It is always easier to work when you know
tax authorities are not waiting outside, isn’t it? I’m also responsible for the
competition part to be as good as possible. I believe that interesting case
studies are one of the ways to make our participants fascinated about taking
part in Peak Time, which would make us happy and everyone would be better off! |
